Our Story

Jarrd [n.]

Real ingredients. Real food. Restaurant-quality. Jarrd.

Nothing more. Nothing less.

Jarrd is a female-owned business run by a group of passionate foodie friends with a mission to make the food you eat at home as good as the meals you eat in a restaurant.

It all started with a simple question: why can't you get a genuinely luxurious, premium cooking sauce in a jar?

The answer is because no one has done it...yet!

So we set out as a group of friends to hand make & jarr our favourite cooking sauces from our foodie travels and serve them up to our friends & family at first.

It didn't take long for requests for the jarred deliciousness to start coming in thick and fast...so we thought we'd start taking our sauces outside of our social circles.

With that, Jarrd was born.

All of our artisan cooking sauces are handmade in our kitchen in Chester, Northwest UK so we can maintain our high standards on the ingredients that go into our sauces and the quality that we serve you.

We have three mantras we live by:

  1. We are on a relentless pursuit for flavour: everything we do is about bringing great flavours to your home. If we wouldn't eat it, we won't make it.

  2. We strive to be better than yesterday: we hold ourselves to our own standards and our commitment to each other is that we keep on improving.

  3. We believe everyone should have access to a good meal: we only want to produce the best we can but we also want to support those that don't have the means or access to food by donating 5% of sales to the Trussell Trust

The Trussell Trust supports a nationwide network of food banks and together, they provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.

In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children. The Trussell Trust supports more than 1,200 food bank centres in the UK to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in crisis, as well as support to help people resolve the crises they face.
