Puttanesca originated in Naples in the 1950’s. It is a lightly spicy sauce tomato sauce with olives and capers. It has become a favourite in Italian restaurants worldwide.
Serve it simply tossed through pasta with some grated parmesan or add seafood to create something truly exquisite.
Chef's Suggestion: Pan fry 400g mixed seafood in a dash of olive oil, pour over the Jarr of sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes or until the seafood is cooked. Serve tossed through freshly cooked linguine, garnished with grated parmesan...mama mia!
